I love reading culinary recipes. However, when I’m in the kitchen, rather than following them closely, I use them as a theme to explore and improvise on.
When it comes to my profession, I work accordingly. For each project, along with the initial on-site survey, I collect information and dig into the data to explore the story and the hidden essence of the built structure. Throughout the following design stages, I take care of meeting my client’s functional needs and vision together with revealing the unique character, the identity of their space!
I follow the same approach when crafting my artwork. Getting inspired by mythology, nature and cultural symbols I create drawings that become my own interpretation of the originals.
I came to realise that the true passion of my creative life is to re-purpose, re-compose and re-use: spaces, buildings, myths, symbols, ingredients, recipes…
