Honorable mention for the Goodnight lamp
12.01.2024In June 2011, I had the privilege of participating in The GloCal -Global and Local- Handmade Workshop, held in Sora, Italy. This inspiring event brought together designers and local artisans to collaborate on creating innovative, handcrafted prototypes that merge global ideas with local craftsmanship.
During the workshop, I worked alongside the ceramist Ileana Di Pucchio to develop the Goodnight Lamp, a unique LED lamp with a dual function that beautifully balances practicality and design.
The Goodnight Lamp features an upper compartment that holds a drinking vessel for water, which not only adds to its utility but also creates a captivating light effect. Designed with the bedside table in mind, this lamp aims to be more than just a source of light—it’s envisioned as a comforting, practical companion for a peaceful night’s rest.
The workshop experience was both creatively enriching and personally rewarding. Receiving an honorable mention for this project was a moment of immense pride, as it recognized the thoughtful integration of form, function, and artistic collaboration. Participating in The GloCal Handmade Workshop was a remarkable and creative journey.
